Anthony, and Elizabeth Cady Stanton. Because of these brave and determined women, there is now an amendment that states that men and women are allowed to vote.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton became interested in women’s suffrage in the year 180. In 1840 she got married and went to London for the World Anti-Slavery Convention. But for some reason, the delegates there seemed to totally exclude women. Elizabeth Cady Stanton went back to discuss this with Lucretia Mott, who was, also, supposed to attend the meeting.
Eight years later, Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton called the first Women’s Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls, New York. In 186 Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton founded the National Women Suffrage Association. Elizabeth Cady Stanton was the president until 180.
