From the readings, I would have to say that one part of me would say that Columbus did discover America. Additionally, I thought about how some of my friends would get together and have “cultural celebrations” over the years with family and friends in place of Columbus Day. Why didn’t people take his journey seriously?

It would make sense for one to believe that his discovery could have possibly been mutual because people existed here for thousands of years before Christopher Columbus.
